HOW TO GET AROUND

Arriving in Amsterdam

  • Schiphol Airport (AMS) is the main international airport, located about 20 minutes from the city center.

  • From the airport, you have several ways to reach the city:

    • Train – The fastest and cheapest option. Trains run every 10–15 minutes and take about 15–20 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station (€5-6).

    • Uber – A more convenient option, costing around €40-50 to the city center.

    • Airport Shuttle – Some hotels offer shuttle services, so check with your accommodation.

Getting Around Amsterdam

Amsterdam is super easy to explore, whether you prefer biking, walking, or public transport.

  • By Bike – The most popular way to get around! You can rent a bike at places like MacBike or Yellow Bike (around €10-15 per day).

  • Public Transport – Trams, buses, and metro are reliable. Use an OV-chipkaart or buy hourly/daily passes for unlimited travel.

  • Uber & Taxis – Available, but biking and trams are often quicker! Avoid Taxis.

WHERE TO STAY

There are tons of beautiful hotels in Amsterdam. Airbnb is restricted in the city, but it is still possible to find listings - especially rooms. There are also hostels available. For your convenience, we made a selection of hotels close to our address (IJselstraat 27h).
